What is NPS?

The National Pension System (NPS) is a voluntary retirement savings scheme introduced by the Government of India, regulated by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA). It offers a long-term investment avenue for individuals looking to accumulate a substantial corpus for their retirement years. NPS provides attractive market-linked returns while ensuring the safety and security of your funds. When it comes to NPS account opening charges, it’s important to note that the process can be initiated with nominal fees.

There are two ways through which individuals can open an NPS account – offline or online. While both methods have merits, opening an NPS account online using your PAN card offers a convenient and hassle-free experience.
